Prasit Srisuwan (right), the former chief executive of Apple Wealth Securities, appeals against a two-year ban from stock market regulators. "Even though I have stepped down, the new executive will undertake the task," Mr Prasit said at a press conference yesterday. Mr Prasit insisted he will appeal the SEC's order within the required 15 days. The SEC barred Mr Prasit from holding any executive roles or working at a securities firm for two years for his failure to supervise Apple Wealth's Know Your Customer/Customer Due Diligence (KYC/CDD) system. Mr Prasit said its KYC/CDD system has higher standards than those of some industry peers.
